About the Role
The Senior Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth across the Japan SMB market through strategic partner engagement and channel development. This role focuses on building strong relationships with distributors, resellers, and SMB-focused partners to expand Veeam’s market presence and generate pipeline within the small and mid-sized business segment. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, and familiar with the Japan IT channel ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
• Drive SMB business growth and achieve regional revenue targets through channel and partner engagement
• Develop and execute SMB-focused channel business plans with distributors and resellers
• Build and strengthen relationships with SMB-focused channel partners across Japan
• Identify new business opportunities and support partner-led pipeline generation activities
• Conduct regular partner business reviews, forecast discussions, and pipeline management
• Support partner enablement through training, product updates, and joint customer engagement
• Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and regional teams to drive go-to-market initiatives
• Monitor partner performance and maintain pipeline updates through Salesforce or related CRM tools
• Support channel marketing programs, campaigns, and partner events targeting the SMB segment
What You’ll Bring
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Channel Sales, or Partner Sales within the IT industry
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth through channel partners in a competitive market
• Strong understanding of the Japan IT partner ecosystem and go-to-market models
• Experience working with distributors, resellers, and strategic alliance partners
• Knowledge of virtualization, cloud, backup, or infrastructure technologies is preferred
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools
• Strong analytical and business planning skills
• Willingness to travel within Japan as required
