We are currently looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support our contract with the DRAID CDAO ADA IR Program.

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Agile Defense, you will be joining a team of professionals that build AI/ML solutions. This role will design and build the analytical infrastructure that surfaces data access across the organization. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership teams to create self-service analytics capabilities that enable teams to find answers, track performance, and drive business outcomes through data.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Build Business-Critical Analytics
· Design and develop comprehensive dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and performance indicators
· Create intuitive, self-service analytics platforms that empower business users to explore data independently
· Build automated reporting systems that deliver timely insights to stakeholders across the organization
· Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all business intelligence deliverables

Drive Business Intelligence Strategy
· Partner with business leaders to understand analytical needs and translate requirements into technical solutions
· Design data models and analytical frameworks that support strategic decision-making
· Establish governance standards for metrics, definitions, and reporting across the organization
· Lead initiatives to improve data literacy and self-service capabilities throughout the company

Enable Data-Driven Decision Making
· Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex insights to diverse audiences
· Build interactive tools that allow stakeholders to drill down into data and explore different scenarios
· Design alerting and monitoring systems that proactively identify business opportunities and risks
· Collaborate with teams to establish KPIs and success metrics that drive business performance

Optimize Analytics Performance
· Develop efficient data models and query optimization strategies for fast, reliable reporting
· Implement caching and aggregation strategies to ensure optimal dashboard and report performance
· Build scalable BI solutions that can handle growing data volumes and user bases
· Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues with existing analytics infrastructure

Foster Analytics Excellence
· Train business users on BI tools and best practices for data analysis and visualization
· Document data sources, metrics definitions, and analytical methodologies for organizational knowledge
· Establish quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of business intelligence deliverables
· Stay current with BI technologies and advocate for new tools and approaches that improve organizational analytics

Required Skills – What You’ll Bring:
· 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or analytics platform development
· Advanced BI tool expertise with Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik Sense, or similar including complex calculations, data modeling, and performance optimization
· Strong SQL and data modeling skills for creating dimensional models, optimizing queries, and integrating data from multiple sources including cloud platforms
· Business partnership experience with proven ability to gather requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and translate business needs into technical solutions
· Enterprise data platform experience working with cloud data warehouses, modern data stacks, and platforms like Databricks for analytics

Preferred Skills - What Would Set You Apart
· Analytics platform knowledge including experience with Advana / MAVEN Smart Systems (Palantir Foundry) or similar enterprise analytics environments
· Strong data engineering skills in Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL with experience implementing medallion architecture and modern data platform patterns
· Advanced data modeling expertise with dimensional modeling, OLAP cubes, and modern analytical architectures
· Statistical analysis experience conducting more complex analyses including forecasting and trend analysis
· Data governance expertise implementing enterprise-wide standards for metrics, definitions, and quality
