Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, Billing & Collections

We are seeking a Senior Billing & Financial Data Analyst to join our Billing Operations team. In this high-impact role, you will be the technical data expert responsible for driving the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of our entire Order-to-Cash (O2C) process. You'll apply advanced data modeling and analytical techniques using tools like Snowflake and Python/R to transform complex billing and collections data into clear, actionable insights, directly influencing key financial outcomes and strategic decisions across Finance and Leadership.

About this roll (Responsibilities)*

• Build, maintain, and enhance financial dashboards and data models in BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex) to track key metrics across the entire O2C lifecycle (Billing Accuracy, DSO, Overdue A/R, Cash Flow).

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and reporting infrastructure within our data warehouse (Snowflake) to ensure data integrity and accessibility for billing, collections, and financial reporting.

• Investigate and perform root cause analysis on complex billing discrepancies, revenue leakage, and collections anomalies, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to Product and Engineering teams for systemic fixes.

• Automate recurring reporting and manual data processes using SQL and Python/R, increasing the speed and efficiency of the Billing Operations and Finance teams.

• Partner with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Data Engineering to define, standardize, and align on billing data sources, metrics, and definitions for financial reporting.

• Translate complex analytical findings into a clear, business-focused narrative and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Do you have the right ingredients? (Requirements)*

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Science role, specifically focused on Billing, Order-to-Cash (O2C), Accounts Receivable/Payable, or core Finance domains.

• Expert-level SQL proficiency with extensive experience in a cloud-based data warehouse environment, specifically Snowflake (or similar like Redshift, BigQuery).

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and process automation.

• Strong background in data visualization, data modeling, and dashboard development using BI tools such as Looker, Hex, Tableau, or Power BI.

• Proven track record of translating complex, technical data analyses into clear, measurable business outcomes and process improvements.

• Deep understanding of the financial and business concepts within the quote-to-cash/order-to-cash process.

Special Sauce (Nice to Haves):*

• Experience extracting and working with data from enterprise financial systems (e.g., Zuora Billing, Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce).

• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.

• Experience working in a rapidly scaling SaaS or subscription-based business.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

Pay Range
$102,000—$163,000 USD
