Position Summary
A Senior Business Consultant is responsible in ensuring that the programs meet the required milestones with regards to customer requirements, quality, program delivery timelines and overall product roadmap and vision. The selected candidate is expected to operate at multiple levels within a change or maintenance program depending on the requirements of the project. They are expected to be Subject Matter Experts in the domain in terms of product offering, technology and regulation and use the expertise to ensure customer solution competitive in features, performance and cost. A Senior Business Consultant candidate should have a proven track record in the software development and product design lifecycle.
Role Responsibilities
• Negotiate scope with senior stakeholders of the client by analysing validity of scope/requirements against long-term and short-term business plans, competitor offerings and regulatory environment.
• Able to provide feedback on customer test plans for System Integrated Testing, Industry Wide Testing and Member Testing.
• Assist the team lead/manager to ensure delivery of agreed scope across multiple scrum teams. Introduce and assess tools and templates to manage and maintain requirements.
• Review product roadmaps and generate new ideas to improve product offering.
• Formulate and execute sea-trials for a multi-product solution. Identify and communicate inter-product dependencies between the teams.
• Ability to represent the project team and articulate status of the project to senior management/ExCo. Proactive engagement with senior/executive leadership to provide constructive feedback on organizational priorities/direction.
• Participate in capital markets/technology industry working groups.
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve organizational strategic objectives.
• Become a mentor to the junior members in the team. Formulate and drive programs to improve knowledge, skill and quality of the team.
• Thought leadership in domain, product, technology with proactive participation in internal/external events.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree with an inclination towards FinTech/Technology.
• 10 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, product owner roles.
• Strong knowledge on Capital markets domain and industry standards and regulations.
• CFA L3 completed or a Masters Degree will be an advantage.
• Familiarity in technologies related to data engineering and cloud such as Kafka, Redis, Kudu, Iceberg, Spark. Flink and languages such as Python, Scala will be advantageous.
