The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, definition, and delivery of complex business and system requirements for strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, and technical teams to ensure solutions are well‑defined, feasible, and aligned to business goals. The Sr. BA plays a key role in improving processes, driving delivery outcomes, and mentoring other analysts.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Requirements Analysis

• Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of complex business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that technical teams can design and build against.

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement reviews.

• Ensure requirements align with strategic objectives, business value, and operational needs.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Partner with Project Managers, Product Owners, Developers, QA, and cross‑functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, UAT, and release activities.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early and proactively propose solutions.

• Validate delivered solutions against requirements and support user acceptance testing.

Process Improvement & Analysis

• Analyse existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities.

• Develop process flows, diagrams, and documentation to support change initiatives.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices, templates, and standards.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as a subject‑matter expert for business analysis within projects or programmes.

• Coach and mentor junior and mid‑level Business Analysts.

• Provide guidance on best practices, requirement quality, and stakeholder engagement.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate progress, risks, and impacts clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

• Support leadership with impact assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and data‑driven insights.

• Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit‑ready where required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 4-7 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or a related role.

• Strong experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Proven ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, or similar platforms.

• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
