From IT, to administration, to People + Culture, the Operations team ensures that every individual at our firm has the tools, resources, and environment they need to perform at their best – and enjoy the journey along the way.
Now, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT team and play a critical role in shaping how our business processes and systems scale with us.
The Opportunity
This is not a report-writing or surface-level analysis role. It’s a hands-on, deeply embedded role focused on understanding how Davidson truly operates today—and helping design how it should operate tomorrow.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Applications, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the entire Firm to map current-state processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational realities into clear, structured requirements that guide enterprise system decisions.
You’ll be a key contributor to system selection, integration, and implementation initiatives—ensuring technology investments are grounded in real business needs and positioned to support Davidson’s growth.
What You’ll Do
Map and Understand How We Work Today
Lead detailed current-state business process mapping across departments using structured methodologies
Document end-to-end workflows, including cross-functional dependencies and handoffs
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundant activities, and manual workarounds
Analyze approval flows, control points, and data ownership
Facilitate working sessions to validate documented processes with business stakeholders
Define measurable performance indicators for key business processes
Turn Business Needs into Clear Requirements
Conduct structured discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews
Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including:
Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS)
User stories and acceptance criteria
Integration and data requirements
Reporting and analytics requirements
Security and governance requirements
Prioritize requirements using a structured, defensible framework
Ensure all requirements are traceable back to documented business processes
Obtain formal stakeholder validation and sign-off
Design Smarter Future-State Processes
Design optimized future-state workflows aligned with:
Operational efficiency
Scalability
Automation opportunities
Improved reporting and data integrity
Recommend process standardization where appropriate
Define system capability requirements needed to enable future-state processes
Support change impact analysis related to process and systems transformation
Analyze Systems and Integration Impacts
Document system interdependencies and data flows
Identify integration gaps and data silos
Assess alignment between system capabilities and business requirements
Support evaluation of system lifecycle status (retain, enhance, replace)
Contribute to the development of target-state application architecture models
Support Solution Evaluation and Delivery
Develop structured evaluation criteria aligned to documented requirements
Support RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation efforts
Participate in solution demonstrations and fit-gap analysis sessions
Assist with implementation planning and sequencing
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and validation
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environments
Deep expertise in business process mapping and workflow documentation
Strong facilitation skills and experience leading cross-functional workshops
Proven ability to translate complex business operations into structured, actionable requirements
Experience supporting enterprise system selection and/or implementation initiatives
Advanced documentation skills and proficiency with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools)
Experience within professional services or accounting environments considered an asset
Strong analytical thinking, organization, and stakeholder partnership skills

Let’s Talk Numbers
We believe in transparency and fairness when it comes to compensation. For this role, the annual salary range is $100,000 - $125,000, depending on your experience and what you bring to the table.
