Senior Business Analyst

The virtual channel within this large financial services institution is the driving creative and technical force behind the company web site. This group helps customers realize their financial needs by delivering the world's most innovative e-banking and e-commerce services, capabilities, and alliances. This position is part of an overall Business Analyst team working on areas as diverse as Sign-on, Authentication, Account Balances & transaction history, Alerts, eDocs, and Personal Financial Management. The overall team environment is collaborative and supportive towards providing the best analysis service with consistently high-quality requirements documentation. In this role, you will: 

- Act as a liaison between the business client and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems solved through strategic eCommerce-based solutions (e.g., Intranet and Internet). 

- Be responsible for producing business requirement artifacts including Use Cases, Business and Message Rules, Supplemental (Non-Functional) Specifications, and User Interface Design Specifications for large and complex projects.

- Be engaged throughout the whole project life-cycle, from Inception through post-Install Transition.

- Work directly with all levels through to senior management across the organization and be considered the highest-level functioning expert.

- Candidates should be self-starters, able to multi-task, work well under tight deadlines, and be comfortable working with technical and business teams.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in internet/ intranet-based business systems or e-business consulting.

In addition to the Basic Qualifications, the successful candidate should have: 

- 10+ years of business analysis experience, ideally with experience on high volume transactional web applications 

- Solid knowledge of financial services and Online Banking 

- Proven ability eliciting and gathering requirements, preferably in Use Case format, including problem definition, requirements elicitation, and impact analysis on complex, high-visibility projects spanning multiple stakeholder communities 

- Ability to take complex problems and decompose them into well-organized, logical, and detailed descriptions to facilitate problem solving 

- Solid understanding/knowledge and practical experience using Rational Unified Process (RUP) 

- Proven experience as a leader, with the ability to collaborate effectively with your project team and potentially across a team of Business Analysts focusing on different functional areas for the same project effort

- Expertise in the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Visio and ideally prior experience with Enterprise Architect and Requisite Pro

- Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization 

- Excellent inter-personal and partnering skills to facilitate effective working relationships

- Commitment to being part of a team, open to having all work peer-reviewed by the analyst community and working within a diverse environment

- Ability to be highly organized and effective within a fast-paced environment

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Deliverables

- Business Analysis for multiple projects 

- Working with project managers to amend existing project plan as needed 

- Risk assessment, management and mitigation ownership, including risk assessment documentation

- Ownership (including tracking, follow-up and closure) of action items and open issues list 

- A day-to-day workable project plan that uses small-scale milestones across implementation team areas to ensure consistent forward movement of the implementation, including formal tracking and reporting of progress

- Project communications

Industry Experience

- 10+ years relevant business analysis experience  

- Solid knowledge of financial services and online/mobile environments 

- Demonstrated subject-matter expertise or experience in one or more of the following areas: 

     *Online authentication, authorization, fraud or security 

     *Online money movement solutions, including Bill Pay 

     *Mobile Banking 

     *Online Banking, Secure Messaging/Alerts, e-document delivery, Personal Financial Management solutions and small business solutions 

     *Web channel management, including online sales and marketing, and application fulfillment 

- CBAP or CCBA¨ Certification 

- Experience working in and knowledge of client systems and processes 

- Experience with Planview and STAMP

Top 3 Requirements

1. 10+ years relevant senior business analysis experience, with experience on high volume highly transactional web applications

2. Proven track record in producing business requirement artifacts – including Use Cases, Business and Message Rules, Supplemental (Non-Functional) Specifications, and User Interface Design Specifications – for large and complex projects. Excellent at use case and use case theory, object oriented analysis and design (OOAD) - helps with UML design - more SOA

3. Proven ability in providing business analysis on high visibility fraud or digital/mobile banking channel projects that span one to two years in duration across multiple stakeholder communities within an organization
