Senior Business Analyst (Data Domain)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and refine complex business and data requirements

• Translate requirements into clear documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and process/data flows

• Support validation activities and ensure requirements traceability across the delivery lifecycle

• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and walkthrough meetings with cross-functional teams

• Identify dependencies, impacts, and gaps across processes, systems, and data flows

• Create and maintain data dictionaries, mappings, and structured documentation for the Data Team

• Contribute to documentation standards and requirements management best practices

• Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge-sharing initiatives

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, including at least 2 years in data-focused or analytics environments

• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation

• Experience with business process and data modeling (BPMN, UML, or similar)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience working in cross-functional teams with Data Engineers, Analysts, PMs, and Product Owners

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and BA/process modeling tools

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset

Nice to Have:

• Experience writing SQL queries for data validation or analysis

• Practical experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

• Experience working with cloud data environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Background in consulting, finance, insurance, or related industries

• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, etc.)

• Experience supporting data governance or master data initiatives
