Purpose of the role

Euromonitor International is currently hiring for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join Research Applications - EMMA team on a permanent full-time role in hybrid model (minimum 2 days a week in the office), reporting to the Senior Product Manager.

EMMA is a core internal system used by Research team to insert, validate and analyse the Intellectual Property data produced by our company and distributed to our clients. This role involves building in-depth knowledge on EMMA data model, EMMA system and the wider systems that integrate with EMMA. This Senior business analyst will be accountable for autonomously lead sessions with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements; translate those requirements into technical solutions and deliver those requirements with software engineers; rollout the functionality to end users and create documentation; ensure that the implemented solutions meet users’ needs and business objectives.

Requirements:
What you’ll do

• Requirements & Analysis – Lead stakeholder discussions to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional/non‑functional specifications with acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Solution Design & Delivery – Collaborate with designers, architects, and engineers to define the right solution, assess trade‑offs, recommend approaches, and coordinate UAT and releases.
• Process Improvement – Document and optimise end‑to‑end processes and user journeys using structured process‑mapping techniques.
• Documentation, Training & Communication – Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation, deliver end‑user training and support, and lead communication across project teams and stakeholders.
• Stakeholder & Team Management – Build strong stakeholder relationships, provide regular updates, manage expectations, and mentor junior team members.

What we’re looking for

• Strong hands‑on experience with APIs, web‑based applications, and system integrations.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data modelling.
• Good grasp of system design principles.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment, with proven experience breaking down complex problems, shaping epics, and working closely with Product Managers to prioritise work based on business impact.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• Ability to create clear, high‑quality documentation and artefacts that help teams and stakeholders understand requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, handle ambiguity, and balance competing stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working with data engineering teams, including defining logic in SQL stored procedures and supporting reporting in web‑based applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
