RESPONSIBILITIES:

On the Office of the Customer team, we are experts in how customers’ engage with Kroger, what internal and external elements drive their choices, and develop a point of view on how their choices will evolve.

The State of the Customer group owns understanding current customer behavior and business performance. We use analytics resources of behavioral data, consumer research, market share, shopper panels, and several third-party data and insights providers to create a source of truth for customer insights that spans all functions and workstreams. Through rigorous analysis and compelling storytelling, we build consensus on customer priorities and enable the organization to action.

Your primary stakeholders will include senior leadership at 84.51° and Kroger, ranging all functions and levels. This is a fast-paced and high visibility team; we frequently shift priorities to respond to the needs of the business.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

On the State of the Customer team, you will drive profitable growth at Kroger through customer-centric strategic consulting & insights that influence decisions, improve the customer experience & innovate for evolving needs. Specific responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with key stakeholders to influence their strategies and decisions in response to current customer trends and needs.

• Respond to needs of the business with quick-turn insights and drive decisions and build trust with senior stakeholders. Through this work, identify opportunities to standardize analysis and measurement.

• Partner with Data Science and Product teams to scope incremental capabilities that save time and enhance our understanding of the market and customer. Own business requirements throughout the development process.

• Be expert on 84.51° data, sciences and methodologies. Provide cross-functional guidance as 84.51° partners evolve their tools, segmentations, and data assets.

• Support the quarter review process with a thorough understanding of 84.51° data and systems (including 84.51° Stratum and MIR) as well as Circana.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Successful candidates will thrive in a fast paced environment and will possess the following:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience; experience in grocery retail and/or with 84.51° and Circana Tools preferred, but not required

• Critical thinking skills

• Influencing skills

• Strong business/commercial acumen

• Strong communication skills, particularly strong written storytelling

• Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred but not required)

Pay Transparency and Benefits

• The stated salary range represents the entire span applicable across all geographic markets from lowest to highest. Actual salary offers will be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data and cost of labor. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for variable compensation.

Pay Range
$78,000—$139,150 USD
