We’re looking for a Senior Build & Release Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Maven-based Open Source Apache Projects, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins automation, Python scripting, and GitHub. You’ll own and scale build processes, automate release workflows, and ensure smooth software delivery for ODP.

This role gives you the opportunity to work on deep technology challenges spanning distributed systems, observability, and enterprise-scale deployments—with direct impact on how customers run mission-critical workloads.

You are a great fit for this role if you have:
• You will develop and maintain Python scripts to automate build, deployment, and monitoring tasks. Your focus will be on improving system reliability through automation and self-healing mechanisms.
• You will scale CI/CD automations for Maven and Gradle builds, automate release processes including branching, tagging, and versioning, and ensure that builds remain stable and reproducible across environments.
• Your role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, streamlining deployment workflows, and troubleshooting build failures and pipeline issues.
• You will oversee source code repositories in GitHub, manage branching strategies, and collaborate with development teams on pull requests, code reviews, and maintaining repository hygiene.
• Collaboration with development and QA teams is essential to ensure smooth integration and deployment, along with maintaining clear documentation of build, release, and deployment processes.
• Work in a team that values ownership, automation, and innovation.

What we look for: :
• 2-3 years of experience in Build & Release Engineering.
• Must have strong Java programming skills, along with proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
• Strong knowledge of Maven for build management.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Strong understanding of GitHub (branches, tags, merge strategies).
• Experience in release automation and deployment workflows.
• Good troubleshooting skills for build failures and CI/CD issues.

Nice-to-Have::
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Apache open-source projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
