To help us build upon our success, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute in improving our search system performance and scalability. The position reports to the Head of Algorithm and will work in close conjunction with the Product, Algorithm/Data Science, and various Engineering teams

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Write high-quality, clean, maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns, etc.)
• Synergize with the wider Engineering team to achieve product goal objectives with agreed timelines
• Optimise and enhance our API / service performance and stability
• Work with the back-end development team to create and optimise solutions
• Work with QA (Quality Assurance) team to perform manual testings and automation testings to achieve the best product quality and improve engineering efficiency
• Work with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team to ensure that deployed software can meet the required service level

YOU ARE A PERFECT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of backend engineering experience
• Solid understanding of data structure and algorithm
• Good knowledge and production code experience in Golang, Java
• Experience in scripting languages, such as Python for build automation and data processing
• Familiar with Linux operating systems
• Strong knowledge of HTTP and REST API design
• Experience with Kubernetes and large-scale micro-service application development

BONUS POINT FOR:
• Experience in designing, building, running and scaling high volume, low latency transactional applications
• Experience in Machine Learning Ops systems like ML inference services, model training pipelines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
