Challenge

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer (7+ years) to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native microservices in a business-critical SaaS environment.

This role goes beyond implementation — you’ll act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing to architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, solving complex distributed system challenges, and strengthening engineering standards across a globally distributed team.

The platform operates at massive scale, requiring strong focus on performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable microservices in a cloud-first environment (AWS).
- Translate product requirements into robust technical designs and architectural decisions.
- Develop secure, resilient backend services using C# and .NET Core.
- Ensure strong automated testing practices aligned with the test pyramid.
- Review peers’ code and mentor engineers to elevate engineering standards.
- Lead research and technical planning for complex initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems.
- Promote best practices balancing performance, scalability, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX Designers, and UI Engineers.

Mandatory Skills:
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET Core.
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture and service-oriented design.
- Solid AWS experience and strong cloud best practices knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong SQL knowledge and relational database design (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora).
- Familiarity with DynamoDB.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, cost-effective cloud applications.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
- Experience working in distributed, global teams.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice to Have:
- Experience working on high-complexity, high-volume SaaS platforms.
- Experience mentoring engineers and defining engineering standards.
- Deep operational monitoring and observability expertise.
- Experience promoting architectural patterns and engineering best practices.
- Background in AI-driven SaaS, enterprise B2B platforms, or HR Tech.
- Openness to learning additional tools and cloud optimization strategies.
