About the Role

We’re looking for a senior backend engineer to evolve our trading platform — the backbone powering everything from API order intake to position management and clearing. You'll focus on core quality attributes: high-throughput processing, low-latency response times, robust fault tolerance, and tight security controls across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services for order routing, risk checks, balance tracking
• Optimize performance for low-latency API and real-time data feeds
• Ensure platform resilience under load using circuit breakers, graceful degradation, and auto-recovery
• Implement and monitor security controls: API key access, rate-limits, trade validation
• Write unit/integration tests with high coverage and measurable SLAs
• Participate in incident response and postmortems to continuously improve system reliability

Requirements:
• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong proficiency in .NET (C#)
• Strong knowledge of concurrent systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging (e.g., Kafka, NATS)
• Experience designing systems with 99.95%+ uptime, ideally in financial or high-throughput environments
• Solid grasp of API security, data integrity, and auditability
• Proven skills in profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning

Nice to Have

• Experience with FIX, WebSocket, and REST trading APIs
• Familiarity with cloud-native deployments (K8s, Istio, AWS/GCP)
• Contributions to high-stakes production systems in fintech or crypto
