Senior Backend Engineer - CTO Team

At Wix, velocity and reliability are the core principles behind shipping products. Join our Backend Engineering Guild as a Senior Backend Engineer for the CTO Group in Vilnius, where you’ll be at the heart of Wix’s technical operations.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, adapt to diverse workflows, and drive success by delivering innovative solutions that support the company’s strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with Scala, Java, and Node.js, delivering high-quality support and results.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Work closely with diverse teams, adapting to their processes and respecting established workflows.

• Deliver innovative solutions while supporting teams in achieving their goals.

• Take a hands-on approach with Scala, Java, and Node.js to develop robust backend services.

• Plan, design, build, and maintain systems while working closely with Wix developers to improve their experience and eliminate velocity blockers.

• 3+ years of experience as a backend developer.

• Technical Stack: Hands-on experience with Java and Node.js.

• An in-depth understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.

• Skilled in debugging and investigating production issues, with the ability to recognize and address "bad code".

• A team player who values ownership and accountability, while always being ready to lend a hand and support each other.

• A versatile skill set with the ability to transition smoothly between platforms and diverse technical environments.

• A commitment to delivering consistent, timely results and a proven track record of meeting high-quality standards.

• Enthusiastic about solving critical business problems and conceiving unconventional, "out-of-the-box" solutions.

 

It’s an advantage if you:

• Are proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Have knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf.

• Are familiar with Scala or other functional and modern programming languages.

Salary range is 5000 - 8000 Eur GROSS / month (Total compensation, including RSUs package)
