Your mission
As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Brand Fundamentals team, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and product designers to build a solid foundation for brand features.

Our team takes pride in consolidating core brand concepts that serve as the basis for all things brand-related within the product. We aim to create delightful user experiences while ensuring the underlying systems are efficient, robust, and scalable. As a senior engineer, you will contribute to architectural decisions and technical discovery while driving technical excellence and delivering customer value.

Your responsibilities:
• Deliver well-architected solutions and maintainable code.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of experienced professionals to discover, design, and develop core and platform solutions that serve over half a million of monthly active users.
• Build and refine composable, well-maintained modules.
• Continuously improve the team's overall quality.
• Support other teams in integrating brand fundamentals into other areas of the product

Your story:
• You can work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or on-site in our St. Gallen office – or even mix it up during the week! Choose where to work from that works best for you.
• You thrive in interdisciplinary teams and have a growth mindset, embracing feedback and continuous learning.
• You have experience with modern PHP, and you are open to working with different technologies, whether backend or frontend, as needed.
• Ideally, you have experience with AI/ML software development.
• You question the status quo and look for ways to improve existing processes while keeping your eye on the prize: deliver customer value.
• You excel at architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining large software solutions. You don't shy away from dealing with technical debt.
• You're skilled in writing unit and integration tests, with a solid grasp of error handling, logging, and observability.
• You’re familiar with testing frameworks and have a deep understanding of component composition, reusability, accessibility, maintainability and performance best practices.
