The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an agile and fast-paced environment, understands customer-centric product development, and can independently make technical trade-offs while effectively communicating decisions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining a clean, scalable, and efficient code structure.
• Addressing and resolving technical blockers for junior engineers (SDE 1s & SDE 2s) to keep projects on track.
• Leading system design discussions, enforcing best practices, and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Monitoring overall project progress, handling escalations, and aligning stakeholder expectations.
• Driving collaboration, knowledge sharing, and high-quality engineering practices within the team.

Technical Skills RequiredThe ideal candidate must be proficient in Python with hands-on experience in Django and have a strong grasp of system design principles, ensuring alignment with business and customer needs. Expertise in PostgreSQL is essential, along with practical knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. Experience with Flask or FastAPI is desirable, while familiarity with LLMs and LangChain for orchestrating AI agents is a plus. Additionally, exposure to frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

• B.Tech. with 3 to 4 years of experience, or M.Tech. with 2 to 4 years of experience.
• Strong preference for candidates with a B.Tech in Computer Science.
• Good to have: Experience from Tier 1 institutes (IITs, IIITs, BITS, NITs).
• Prior experience working in a startup or similar fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Interest in system architecture design is a bonus.
