As a Senior Backend Developer (Python), you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance backend systems that support scalable AI-driven platforms and distributed applications. In this role, you will collaborate with machine learning engineers, platform teams, and infrastructure specialists to deploy intelligent services, scale complex workflows, and efficiently serve AI models across diverse environments. Your work will play a key role in building reliable, interoperable, and adaptive backend systems that power advanced AI solutions.

Requirements:
Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, microservices, and APIs using Python.
• Architect and deploy distributed infrastructure capable of handling high-throughput AI workloads.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers to integrate trained models into scalable production systems.
• Build and manage both real-time and batch inference pipelines for AI-driven applications.
• Contribute to DevOps and MLOps workflows, including CI/CD automation, monitoring, observability, and autoscaling.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of backend services.
• Optimize internal tools, model-serving infrastructure, and large-scale system performance.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong professional experience developing production-grade applications with Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous programming (Python asyncio), and network programming.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Hands-on experience with model-serving platforms such as Triton Inference Server, TorchServe, ONNX Runtime, or Ray Serve.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, Kubeflow, or Apache Airflow.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases, caching systems (Redis), and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative workflows using GitHub or GitLab.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large language models (LLMs) or foundation model architectures.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, or Weaviate.
• Exposure to LLM orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.
• Experience with graph processing systems, streaming architectures, or real-time inference platforms.
• Interest in AI evaluation, interpretability, or safety frameworks.
