Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to support a U.S.-based organization in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong database expertise, solid backend frameworks experience, and a proactive mindset focused on performance, security, and reliability.

Duties / Tasks to perform

• Design, optimize, and maintain relational database structures, including indexing and query performance tuning
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django / Django REST Framework
• Work with PostgreSQL databases to ensure data integrity and scalability
• Implement logging and monitoring solutions using the ELK stack
• Support containerized environments using Docker
• Collaborate on cloud-based infrastructure with AWS (general working knowledge required)
• Apply encryption and authentication best practices to ensure application security
• Support asynchronous processing and background tasks (Redis, Celery – plus)
• Contribute to real-time features using WebSockets (nice to have)

Requirements:
• Strong experience with SQL and relational database design
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (ELK stack)
• Working knowledge of Docker-based environments
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (AWS)
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and security best practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Professional proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (GMT -5, Eastern Time – US & Canada)
