Job Summary

The Senior Java Developer will join a team working on the maintenance and enhancement of an existing internal application for one of the major technology clients.

This is a hands-on backend development role focused on implementing new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring ongoing stability of the system. The application is well-established and is not high-scale or performance-critical. You’ll collaborate with a Tech Lead, Front-End Developers, and other team members in a structured, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust Java-based backend features for an internal tool

• Collaborate with other developers, Tech Leads, and stakeholders to define technical solutions

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to ongoing improvements in code quality

• Perform bug fixes and small enhancements within an existing codebase

• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and database interactions

• Contribute to a well-tested, clean, and maintainable codebase

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of recent, professional experience with Java (Java 8 or newer)

• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks

• Strong understanding of REST API development

• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests

• Solid grasp of authentication, authorization, and session management

• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members

• Familiarity with design patterns and application architecture best practices
