NeoWork is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and a passion for building reliable, well-tested systems. In this role, you’ll be working on tool-use functionality, including analyzing transcripts, debugging issues, and ensuring systems are robust and reliable. You’ll collaborate with contract engineers and internal stakeholders, helping drive technical quality across projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze tool-use transcripts to identify where models fail or tools break.
• Debug and confirm functionality by directly interacting with an MCP server.
• Write clear and detailed technical documentation for processes and findings.
• Build and maintain robust test suites to ensure high-quality code changes.
• Collaborate with other engineers and contract contributors to support technical QA and debugging.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of software engineering experience (open to strong candidates with less).
• Familiarity with Go, Python, TypeScript, or similar modern back-end stacks.
• Strong background in building and maintaining test frameworks.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation.
• Analytical and proactive problem-solver who can spot issues from data and propose solutions.
