Óscala is a Dutch/Spanish supplier of nearshore software engineering services. The
company is HQ based in Haarlem (NL) and has a Software Development Center in the city
center of Valencia.

Óscala works for a growing list of reputable clients in The Netherlands and surrounding
countries. We offer our clients additional (remote) capacity so they can continue to build
their state-of the-art software solutions, web applications, mobile apps and alike.
Each Óscala Software Developer works exclusively for one client and is an integral part of
their Software Development team - working closely and on a daily basis together with
Tech Leads, Architects and other colleagues of the IT team in The Netherlands (or
Germany or Belgium).
To facilitate the needs of our employees Óscala operates on a hybrid office model,
meaning working (partly) from our Development center and/or a few days per week from
a home office.

Senior Backend Developer

About our client

Our client is leader in the gaming industry and they have the mission Unleash the gamer
in everyone . They have been around since 2004 and have been part of a global player in
the gaming industry since 2020. This global player develops, publishes and distributes
games for more than 200 million monthly active users across mobile, social and online
platforms.
Their Android team is growing and now we are looking for a Senior Backend Developer
(.Net Core) to join our Óscala team, hybrid from our office in Valencia.
Senior Backend Developer (.Net)
You will join a team of innovative and creative IT professionals who invent, design,
develop and release apps on multiple leading mobile, social and online game
platforms.

We are looking for new team members who are independently able to find solutions,
have guts, work result-oriented and are stress resistant. With creative solutions you
contribute to the best gaming experience for our millions users worldwide. You have
a good balance between precision and speed to able to be genuinely proud of the
quality of your work. You feel responsible, but never lose sight of the process and our
users.

In addition to expanding Online Soccer Manager with new features, you will work in a
multidisciplinary DevOps team on performance optimizations, uptime, refactoring old code
and debugging. You will work with .NET Core on our microservice architecture hosted in
Kubernetes. We use RabbitMQ to let the microservices communicate with each other and
send analytical data to our Google BigQuery data warehouse.

What we re looking for:
You have Academic working and thinking level
Affinity with .NET (Core), C# and SQL
Experience setting up or maintaining microservices
A love for the latest technologies
Willingnessto learn and desire to grow, professionally and personally
Affinity with sports gaming is a plus
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with a message broker.
