Senior Automation Tester

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Plays an active part in building a self-organized development team in an Agile environment

2. Works hand-in-hand with DEVs and BAs to promote constant collaboration during each iteration/sprint.

3. Performs all kinds of tests as required by the product (functionality, integration, smoke, performance, usability, regression, acceptance, sanity, etc.)

4. Escalates blockers and critical issues in testing.

5. Plans, prepares, reviews, and executes test cases with rigor and precision, and ensures all tasks are completed on time.

6. Closes and documents test results.

7. Identify, select, and use appropriate tools for different types of testing related to test preparation, automation, execution and analysis.

8. Mentors and coaches junior test engineers on functional testing and technical matters.

9. Able to move and be reassigned, ramp up quickly, collaborate well and establish a testing process if needed.

10. Able to collaboratively setup, prep, and certify a test environment

11. Understands the value of TDD/ATDD/BDD and assists in promoting it as appropriate. Promotes other test engineering best practices where applicable.

12. Assist in the definition of a testing strategy at a project level from a process, functional and technical aspect. Helps in ensuring test strategy is adhered to within project scope.

13. Assists in providing inputs on test schedules and capacity planning within assigned team

14. Understands and has awareness of the the team’s test history and appropriate quality metrics, and participates on formulating and executing improvement plans for test activities for future releases.

15. Able to generate clear and accurate testing reports to be sent out to project stakeholders.

16. May function as the SME for testing within a specific functional area for both functional and automated testing activities.

17. Assists in upskilling of the testing team within the project scope for both technical and functional matters.

Requirements:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years solid experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing

· Must have a substantial background in Automation Testing in different application platforms

· Must have experience testing APIs. Experience in AWS and microservices a plus

· Must have knowledge/experience in QTP/Selenium or other automation tools

· Knowledge/experience on Robot Framework is a plus

· Knowledge/experience on Performance Testing is a plus

· Agile methodology experience
