Senior Audio Designer

We are searching for a talented Senior Audio Designer for a new project and multiplayer title developed on Unreal engine 5.

The Senior Audio Designer will provide support for the general running of the Audio department and to be the first point of contact when the Audio Director (AuD) is absent. The Senior Audio Designer will report to the AuD and Project Producers but will be required to work closely with senior staff in all disciplines to meet the creative and technical goals of the Audio Department.

Responsibilities:

Creation of game audio assets as needed (leading by example, setting the benchmarks for audio quality etc.)

Provide support and cover for the AuD regarding the direction of the creative efforts of the audio team and for the strategy and style behind the audio direction for Wolcen games and pitches; and effective communication of this

A commitment to the continuing improvement of tool and equipment quality, methodology, and creative processes

Development of good working relationships with other Audio Designers, supporting and advising to deliver high quality creative results

Advising on technical issues and helping with communication of these to ensure proper realization of audio intentions

Management of internal and external audio production resources

Staff mentoring and development

Collaborate with AuD about staff allocations to projects

Attend project reviews with other Audio Designers and report on creative progress to AuD

Audio SharePoint maintenance

Troubleshooting audio tools and systems

Providing audio-specific technical support

Keep up to date on the latest audio and game technologies

Requirements:

 Experience on AAA titles with recognized high-quality audio

Excellent sound design skills, a creative outlook, the desire to try new ideas, and the drive to produce great game audio

Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine and Wwise

Good knowledge and experience of game audio systems and technology, including middleware and console hardware.

Proficiency with professional DAW systems, such as Cubase, Sound Forge, Reaper etc

Ability and talent to direct and mentor a creative audio team

Ability to design, in collaboration with programmers and sound designers, novel audio features, tools and technology, and then create, implement and develop AAA quality audio content

Good communication skills and the ability to negotiate and work closely with other disciplines

Passionate about game playing in general, and a good knowledge of the state of the art in console and PC gaming

Advanced English Language skills
