Job Description
Senior Audio AI Scientist
At Treble Technologies, we are pioneering the future of sound. Our cutting-edge simulation and audio data platform is transforming audio AI and how sound is incorporated into the design of the physical world. Our customers include many of the world’s leading and most prestigious companies across AI, consumer electronics, pro-audio and the building industry. Together with them, we are improving global well-being and connectivity through better audio intelligence and sound experiences.
Founded in 2020, Treble is a fast-rising, highly ambitious audio technology company that has quickly earned global recognition for its technology and vision. Backed by strong funding and multiple international awards, we have assembled a world-class, international team and are now entering the next phase of our expansion.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Audio AI Scientist to join our ML team and help push the boundaries of what is possible in audio AI and synthetic audio data generation.
About the role:
This is a senior, high-impact role for an experienced audio ML expert who wants to work on some of the most challenging and relevant problems in the field today.
As a Senior Audio AI Scientist at Treble, you will work at the intersection of audio machine learning, signal processing, and acoustic simulation. You will collaborate closely with our ML, research, and product teams, as well as with advanced customers building state-of-the-art audio AI systems used in category-leading products.
You will help shape how modern audio AI systems are trained, evaluated, and improved by leveraging high-quality synthetic acoustics data and simulation. The role combines deep technical work, applied research, and real-world impact, with the opportunity to influence both our platform and the broader audio AI ecosystem.
Your tasks include:
Develop and analyze advanced audio AI algorithms, including speech recognition, speech enhancement, beamforming, source localization, sound event detection, and related multi-channel ML methods
Design and run experiments to understand how synthetic acoustics data impacts ML performance, robustness, and generalization
Define best practices for using simulation-driven data in audio ML training and evaluation pipelines
Work closely with product and R&D teams to guide the evolution of Treble’s simulation and data generation capabilities for ML use cases
Collaborate with advanced customers to help them solve demanding audio AI challenges and achieve better real-world performance
Define and maintain meaningful benchmarks and evaluation methodologies for modern audio AI systems
Publish high-quality technical content, whitepapers, and research that demonstrate and communicate state-of-the-art results
Act as a senior technical voice and thought leader within Treble and in the wider audio AI community
What we are looking for:
Significant industry experience developing and deploying audio AI systems
Deep expertise in one or more areas of audio AI and audio signal processing
Strong understanding of audio datasets, evaluation methodologies, and generalization challenges
MSc or PhD in machine learning, audio signal processing, applied mathematics, acoustics, or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python and modern ML frameworks
Ability to reason across signal processing, data-driven ML, and real-world system constraints
Strong communication skills
Comfort operating with high ownership in a fast-moving, scale-up environment
Nice to have:
Experience working with synthetic or simulated data for ML
Familiarity with multi-microphone systems, spatial audio, or acoustic simulation
Track record of published research or widely adopted technical contributions
Experience working closely with product teams or enterprise customers
Background in edge or embedded audio ML systems
If you are excited by the idea of working at the frontier of audio AI, shaping how data and simulation are used to build better models, and collaborating with some of the most advanced teams in the industry, we would love to hear from you. If your experience does not perfectly match every qualification, we still encourage you to apply. You may be a great fit for this or other roles at Treble.
What we offer:
Competitive compensation, including stock options
Deep technical challenges at the cutting edge of audio AI, acoustics, and simulation
Collaboration with world-leading companies building next-generation audio systems
A rare opportunity to influence the direction of the audio AI field
Highly flexible and family-friendly work environment built on trust and autonomy
Strong team culture with high ambition and collaboration
Competitive benefits and first-class facilities
Comprehensive relocation package
Location
