In indirect tax at PwC, you will focus value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax and other indirect taxes. Your work will involve providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimise their indirect tax positions.

Job Description & Summary: 

A career in our WorldTrade Management Services (WMS), within Tax services of PwC Tax and Advisory (Vietnam) Co., Ltd, will provide you with the opportunity to deal with projects, including valuation of imports and exports, duty reliefs, tariff classification, country of origin, duty preferences and legal restructuring to ensure our clients are duty and tax efficient across the global supply chain. 

Key Responsibilities: 

As a Senior Consultant, you will have detailed and practical knowledge of customs and international trade issues in Vietnam, and you have developed good experience working with government bodies and officials in Vietnam. 

 
You must understand how customs and trade issues affect our clients’ business, and have the ability to understand and present complex issues clearly and concisely. In order to manage your work efficiently and be able to identify business opportunities, you should equip yourself with sound knowledge on: customs valuation, customs classification, cross-border goods’ origin, requirement on customs compliance for export productionand post-clearance audits. 

Job Requirements: 

• 3+ years of relevant experience gained in customs and international trade consulting work; 

• University degree in Foreign Trade, Finance, Accounting, or Economics;  

• Customs, legal or industry background in customs and trade compliance; 

• Candidate with practical experience in customs brokerage is preferable; 

• Detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines; 

• Enjoy team-work, be self-motivated, and show willingness to learn; 

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese
