About the Job
This is an exciting time to join Juniper, a fast-growing architectural lighting design and manufacturing company based in Southington, CT. We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Senior Assembly Technician to support the assembly of our premium, custom lighting products.
In this role, you will perform advanced electro-mechanical assembly work, troubleshoot complex issues, and support high-quality production standards across the assembly floor. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams while serving as a technical resource and mentor to other technicians as needed.
This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement, and who enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform advanced electro-mechanical assembly of high-end architectural lighting systems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and finish-related issues to support production flow
Read and work from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and bills of material
Support quality inspections, first-article builds, and new product introductions
Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to assembly technicians
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
Maintain accurate production records while following safety and 5S standards
Preferred Qualifications
2–4 years of electro-mechanical or lighting assembly experience
Strong hands-on skills in wiring, soldering, troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly
Experience working with LED lighting systems, drivers, and low-voltage wiring
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
Comfortable using basic diagnostic tools such as multimeters
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment
