Senior Architect - Core Banking

FlatGigs is hiring a Senior Architect – Core Banking to support enterprise-wide architecture governance and solution design initiatives within a regulated banking ecosystem.

This role requires deep expertise in Core Banking platforms, enterprise integration architecture, and secure microservices ecosystems deployed in containerized/cloud-native environments.

The Architect will operate within a matrix structure, reporting into Architecture leadership while closely partnering with business delivery teams.

Job Purpose

The Senior Architect will:

• Design resilient, scalable, and secure Core Banking solutions
• Balance business functionality, customer experience, performance, reliability & security
• Define architectural blueprints aligned with enterprise standards
• Contribute to reusable architecture patterns across the group

This is a strategic and hands-on architecture role.

Domain Expertise Required

• Strong exposure to Core Banking systems (Finacle or similar platforms)
• Banking domain knowledge (Accounting, Payments, Settlements)
• Designed/led at least 3 Core Banking architecture implementations
• Experience in API-first and microservices ecosystems
• Strong integration ecosystem understanding (Switches, 3rd party integrations)

Technical Competencies

Architecture & Design

• 10+ years designing end-to-end architecture solutions
• High-level design (HLD) & solution design documentation
• Microservices, container-based/cloud-native architecture
• Event streaming & message brokers
• API ecosystem architecture

Integration

• REST APIs
• ISO8583 (or equivalent messaging protocols)
• Integration with third-party banking ecosystems

Security & Compliance

• PCI-DSS, UAE Central Bank, GDPR awareness
• Threat modeling & regulatory alignment
• Authentication & Authorization frameworks
• Encryption algorithms & key management
• Security logging, alerting & monitoring

Cyber Security Exposure (Preferred)

• Defensive & offensive security exposure
• Secure architecture hardening experience

AI Awareness (Preferred)

Knowledge of:

• Machine Learning
• Generative AI
• RAG systems
• Vector databases
• Agentic AI
• MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• AI copilots

Agile Environment Exposure

Must have experience working within:
