AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a Senior Architect - Architecture to support the development and delivery of landscape architecture and urban design projects across multiple scales. This role will contribute to the creation of design concepts and detailed design packages, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of sustainable, functional solutions aligned with project objectives, leveraging digital tools and high-quality technical standards, in Bogotá, Colombia.
Key responsibilities
• Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of landscape in architecture and urban design projects across urban, infrastructure, and master planning scales, ensuring integration of ecological, social, and spatial systems.
• Develop landscape concepts and detailed design packages, including planting strategies, public realm design, and open space systems aligned with urban design frameworks.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including urban design, transportation, water, and engineering, ensuring consistent integration of landscape solutions within broader project objectives.
• Produce and review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for landscape works, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards.
• Apply digital tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and Adobe Suite to support design development, visualization, and documentation.
• Support the implementation of sustainability strategies, including nature-based solutions, climate resilience, and low-impact development approaches.
• Contribute to the development of design guidelines, landscape standards, and best practices under senior supervision.
Minimum Requirements
• Professional degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture.
• 4+ years of professional experience in architecture and urban design, including at least 2 years specifically focused on landscape design for urban projects, infrastructure, master planning, and urban design.
• Proven experience in public realm design, green infrastructure, and landscape systems within large-scale developments.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to complex projects across multiple phases.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1, required) for coordination in multinational, multidisciplinary teams; additional languages are considered an asset.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with knowledge of SketchUp, Rhino and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for 2D/3D design, visualization and presentation of urban landscape projects.
• Experience using GIS tools for site analysis, environmental assessment and data-driven decision-making in urban and infrastructure contexts.
• Preferably experienced with specialized landscape and environmental analysis software (e.g. Land F/X, Vectorworks Landmark, Lands Design, ClimateStudio or similar) to support climate-responsive design, planting strategies and performance-based evaluation.
• Strong understanding of landscape construction systems, including grading, hardscape, drainage and irrigation, with solid knowledge of planting design, soils and material specifications suitable for urban environments.
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, environmental regulations and urban landscape standards, including green infrastructure, nature-based solutions and climate-resilient public realm design.
• Ability to produce and technically review drawings, details, schedules, specifications and reports, ensuring that all deliverables meet established quality standards, project requirements and company procedures
Preferred Requirements
• 8+ years of professional experience in architecture and urban design, including at least 4 years specifically focused on landscape design for urban projects, infrastructure, master planning, and urban design.
• International project experience is considered a plus.
• Postgraduate degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Interested architects must submit a resume and projects portfolio.
