Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in application management, IT operations, or a similar technical role.
• 3+ years in a senior or leadership capacity managing enterprise applications.
• Relevant certifications are a strong plus: AWS/Azure/GCP Associate or Professional, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), ITIL v4, or equivalent.
Must-have Skills
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) — including scripting with Bash and PowerShell.
• Databases: Hands-on experience managing SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL — query optimization, backup/recovery, and high-availability configurations.
• Containers & Orchestration: Practical experience with Docker (image creation, networking, volumes) and Kubernetes (deployments, Helm charts, cluster management).
• APIs & Middleware: Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, API gateways, message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and ESB/middleware platforms.
• Microservices: Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns, service mesh technologies, and distributed systems design.
• Cloud Platforms: Demonstrated experience with at least one major cloud provider — Azure, AWS, or GCP — including IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Nice-to-have:
• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
