What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Android engineer to take part in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle for our mobile applications. Mobile is a core part of our platform, real estate professionals rely on Perchwell while on the go, and our mobile experience is central to how agents search, collaborate, and close deals. As part of our small team of developers, you'll collaborate across the company to help shape our team, processes, and tech stack as we scale our business and technology.

What You’ll Work On:

• Build exceptional Android experiences: Develop client-facing features and interfaces that are fast, stable, and delightful to use leveraging modern Android technologies like Kotlin and Jetpack.

• Own projects end-to-end: Lead major Android initiatives from technical design through launch, setting direction, driving execution, and ensuring quality every step of the way.

• Shape our Android architecture and standards: Make key decisions on frameworks, performance, and development patterns that define how we build and scale on Android

• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with backend, product, design, and QA to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences.

• Take ownership: You’ll be accountable for your work from build to release as part of our “you build it, you run it” philosophy.

Who You Are

• 5+ years building and shipping high-quality Android apps in Kotlin, using Jetpack and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Compose).

• Have led large features or app areas end-to-end and mentored teammates along the way.

• Care deeply about performance, design quality, and testing - you build apps that feel fast and polished.

• Can collaborate closely with backend and product partners, translating business needs into technical execution.

• Love ownership, iteration, and making things better every release.

• Expertise working with Kotlin and Android specific development and design philosophies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record building and delivering complex Android apps or frameworks at scale from concept to customer launch.

• Deep expertise in Android foundations such as SDK development, Jetpack components, and performance optimization.

• Strong design sensibility with an eye for creating intuitive, beautiful interfaces using Compose and Material Design.

• Commitment to quality through robust automated testing - from unit to integration - using modern Android testing frameworks and tools.

Salary Range:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. Our ranges are based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, job-related knowledge and depth of work experience.

The compensation for this position is $155-$185K base salary + equity + benefits.
