The Role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our Mobile Apps team at Viva.com, Europe’s first Tech Bank.

As a member of our Technology Team, you’ll play a key role in building high-quality, secure mobile applications that power seamless payment experiences. You’ll collaborate across multiple workstreams, from architects and program managers to engineering leads, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Android code using modern development tools and practices (Java, Kotlin, and occasionally C/C++ for high-security components).
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric mobile applications.
Work within a modern development environment ,using Android SDK, Android Studio, GitHub for versioning, and the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence) for project management and documentation.
Apply strong testing practices with Espresso and Mockito, ensuring high code quality and maintainability.
Support and mentor junior developers, sharing best practices and fostering technical excellence.
Explore new technologies and frameworks to improve performance, maintainability, and user experience.
Actively contribute ideas and take initiative in technical discussions and decision-making.
