Job Description

The Altip Group is a talent advisory firm focused on delivering human capital solutions to global clients.

We have a client seeking a Senior Android Developer in Reston, VA.

The ideal candidate will work with evolving core Android libraries and components to develop the upcoming Androidapp, mentor developers who are new to the Android platform, take charge of and provide direction to junior and mid-level engineeers, help make the correct technical architecture decisions, and shape the future of Android team.

Required Skills and Experience

• Deep and broad Android platform experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Advanced Android UI skills (Fragments, custom view components).
• Leadership skills—mentoring and giving direction to more junior programmers

Desired skills (each a big plus)

• Android UI automation (programmatic and/or non-programmatic).
• Custom view components.
• Memory management.
• Multi-threading
• Performance tuning.
• A good handle on working with git.
• Experience with code review tools and processes.
• Pair programming (some not 100%).
• Experience with HIPAA compliant apps.
