We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Analyst-Database to join our team at Dubai Silicon Oasis, where you'll lead the way in managing the bank’s database infrastructure, overseeing primarily Oracle Databases, but also should have good knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2 databases, managing business-as-usual (BAU) operations, ensuring seamless execution of banking End-of-Day (EOD) operations, implementing database replication strategies, handling database upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring operations governance aligns with regulatory and business objectives.

What you will do:

• Database Operations: Manage daily operations, ensure performance, reliability, and security. Address issues like connectivity and query optimization.

• Banking EOD Processes: Oversee End-of-Day and End-of-Month operations, troubleshoot failures, and optimize batch processing.

• Replication & High Availability: Ensure data replication, disaster recovery readiness, and minimal service disruptions.

• Cloud Solutions: Implement and manage cloud-based databases, ensuring compliance and scalability.

• Upgrades & Migrations: Execute database upgrades, schema migrations, and system updates with minimal impact.

• Backup & Recovery: Implement strategies to ensure data integrity, recovery, and disaster readiness.

• Governance & Compliance: Enforce IT policies, manage risks, and ensure compliance with UAE Central Bank, ISO, PCI DSS, and GDPR.

• Leadership: Lead and mentor the database team, establish best practices, and align IT operations with business needs.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in database administration, including management of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
• 5+ years preferably in a banking or financial institution.
• Strong expertise in database replication, high availability solutions, and failover strategies.
• Experience with banking operations, EOD batch processing, and troubleshooting banking applications.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices and experience in incident, change, and problem management.
• Experience in database governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks within a banking environment.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle DBA
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator

• Expertise in database performance tuning, replication, clustering, and partitioning.
• Strong knowledge of banking systems, EOD processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization techniques.
