Senior AI Product Engineer / AI Workflow Architect

Our Client is scaling AI across core operations -- from document processing and knowledge systems to decision support and automation. They are looking for a Senior AI Engineer who combines strong Python skills, LLM system design expertise, and a deep sense of responsibility for output quality.

Your role & responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI workflows integrated into real business processes
• Build and maintain Python-based AI systems (LLMs, embeddings, retrieval, orchestration)
• Work with large, heterogeneous datasets (ERP data, emails, documents, APIs, files)
• Design and manage vectorization pipelines and retrieval strategies
• Trace, monitor, and debug LLM calls, prompts, outputs, and failures
• Define and enforce quality, reliability, and evaluation standards for AI outputs
• Collaborate closely with product, business, and tech stakeholders
• Decide when AI is the right tool -- and when it is not
• Document architectures, trade-offs, and decisions clearly and pragmatically

Requirements:
• Strong hands-on experience with Python in production environments
• Experience building systems with LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, open-source models, etc.)
• Solid understanding of embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval patterns
• Experience with prompting, evaluation, tracing, and output quality control
• Ability to design AI systems that are robust, explainable, and maintainable
• Comfort working with ERP data and Microsoft systems
• Product mindset: you care about outcomes, not just models
• High sense of ownership and responsibility for system behavior
• Clear and structured communication; able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
• Persistence, curiosity, and motivation to learn
• Experience integrating AI into real business workflows is a strong plus
