Bounteous is seeking a Senior Adobe Commerce Engineer to support the implementation, integration, and ongoing evolution of Adobe Commerce SaaS solutions for enterprise clients. This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, responsible for configuring commerce capabilities, building integrations, and ensuring reliable data flows between Adobe Commerce and downstream enterprise systems such as ERP, OMS, PIM, and fulfillment platforms.

The Senior Adobe Commerce Engineer works closely with Commerce Solution Architects, front-end developers, and client technical teams to translate solution designs into stable, production-ready implementations. This role requires strong technical fundamentals, experience supporting complex commerce ecosystems, and comfort working in distributed global delivery models.

Information Security Responsibilities:
• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Key Responsibilities:
• Adobe Commerce Configuration and Development
• Configure Adobe Commerce SaaS features including catalog structure, pricing logic, promotions, customer accounts, and entitlement rules.
• Implement B2B and B2C commerce capabilities such as account hierarchies, customer-specific pricing, shared catalogs, and contract pricing.
• Support environment configuration across development, QA, and production environments.
• Assist with SaaS service configuration and platform upgrades.
Systems Integration and Data Flow
• Build and maintain integrations between Adobe Commerce and ERP, OMS, PIM, tax, payment, and fulfillment systems.
• Implement REST and GraphQL APIs to support storefront and downstream system interactions.
• Support synchronization of product, pricing, inventory, customer, and order data.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data mismatches, and performance issues.
Operational Support and Quality
• Support release readiness activities including configuration validation and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot platform issues related to data accuracy, performance, and transactional reliability.
• Collaborate with QA teams to resolve defects and root causes.
• Contribute to runbooks, documentation, and operational best practices.
Collaboration and Delivery
• Partner with Solution Architects to implement approved technical designs.
• Collaborate with front-end developers supporting Drop-ins and storefront integrations.
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and agile delivery ceremonies.
• Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge sharing.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 to 7 or more years of experience in eCommerce or backend platform development.
• 2 or more years of hands-on Adobe Commerce experience, including SaaS deployments.
• Strong experience integrating commerce platforms with ERP, OMS, PIM, and third-party services.
• Proficiency with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience supporting both B2B and B2C commerce implementations.
• Familiarity with composable commerce patterns.
• Comfortable working in distributed global delivery teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
