This is a remote work (WFH) position for candidates who possess essential outsourcing accounting experience. The chosen applicant will receive comprehensive training in Singapore accounting practices and will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of clients based in Singapore, alongside overseeing and mentoring junior accountants.
Work Mode: Completely remote (WFH) with daily video check-ins
Training: Comprehensive training in Singapore accounting is provided
Industry Experience: Prior experience in outsourcing accounting (2-5 years) is essential
Communication: Proficiency in English is crucial
Indian GST Knowledge: Strong understanding is necessary
Tracking: Supersee (online tracking for HR compliance)
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm IST, Saturday from 7:30 am to 11:00 am IST (SGT Reference: Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm)
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee a portfolio of clients based in Singapore, managing complete sets of accounts, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial statements.
• Evaluate, verify, and amend the work of junior accountants; document discrepancies and their resolutions.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, schedules, and management reporting.
• Prepare and examine consolidations and financial statements.
• Identify deficiencies in processes, suggest controls, and create checklists to ensure consistency.
• Address backlog items, investigate discrepancies, and correct misclassifications.
• Ensure adherence to SFRS, ACRA, IRAS, MOM, CPF, GST, and organizational policies.
• Create clear completion notes and communicate significant issues to management.
Must-Have Skills:
• Demonstrated experience in assessing and correcting the accounting work of junior staff.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and closing procedures.
• Familiarity with consolidation processes (including eliminations, intercompany transactions, minority interest, and mapping).
• Proficient in advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions (such as pivots, lookups, reconciliation templates, and error tracking).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive approach, comfortable working independently within Singapore’s deadlines.
Good to Have
• Experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar. Familiarity with remote work tools (e.g., Supersee).
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
