The
mission of this role
Be responsible for the General Ledger and ensure high-quality accounting execution, acting as a senior technical reference within the team and supporting alignment of accounting activities under the direction of the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
Act as General Ledger ensuring accurate postings in SAP, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for the assigned entity in line with group timelines and instructions
Review P&L, margins, and balance sheet accounts; identify discrepancies and post corrections within established accounting policies
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items
Coordinate tax-related activities with external advisors, under Finance Director guidance
Prepare accounting documentation and support local statutory audits, escalating issues when required
Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and internal accounting procedures
Coordinate and oversee daily activities of the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate execution
Act as a senior technical reference for accounting topics within the team
Support alignment of accounting practices and closing timelines across entities
Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives defined by Finance leadership
Collaborate with other departments and entities to ensure accurate and consistent financial data
Requirements
Accounting degree or equivalent experience
Strong background in general accounting with solid knowledge of local GAAP and accounting principles
Advanced MS Excel skills; SAP knowledge is an asset
Advanced English and Spanish level
Strong technical ownership with reliable execution
Solid judgment within established frameworks
Clear, pragmatic communication style
Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented
