Based in Croatia, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with local regulations and spot-on financial reporting across international operations. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, meticulous, and experienced in managing complex bookkeeping tasks within an international organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, CIT, etc.) for the legal entities in Netherlands
• Prepare and process payments, expense reports, and bank transactions
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable
• Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting processes
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities
• Collaborate closely with finance and operations teams across regions
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and employee expense reimbursements
• Continuously review and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Responibility to handle Master Data for customer creation
 
Additional Responsibilities:
• Budget controlling, manage cashflow
• Manage global collection: Understand payment delays and trends, maintain and track collection dashboards, AR trends analysis for month-end, improve DSO
• Support bad debts accrual for financial statements.
• Maintain credit & collections policies, SOX and internal controls.
• Monitoring performance and providing accurate and timely monthly variance analyses of results (against AOP, LBE)
• Conducting profitability analysis of products
• Taking part in projects- cross organization
• Reviewing financial impacts with business unit managers
• Business support for financial process of Teva API B.V.
Professional Profile
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a bookkeeper, accountant, or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting, tax, and regulatory standards
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Priority- an advantage)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• Certified Bookkeeper or equivalent qualification is a plus
