Required Skills
Job Description
You're the Person Who Notices the ₱12 Difference. And It Bothers You Until It's Fixed.
Most people see a reconciliation and think "close enough." You see it and think "where is it."
That's not a quirk. That's exactly what this role needs.
You know the month-end close rhythm better than you know your commute. You've untangled intercompany differences at 4pm on a Friday and still had clean workpapers by end of day. And you've learned that a tidy balance sheet isn't just good accounting — it's what lets everyone else in the business make good decisions.
If that sounds like Tuesday to you, keep reading.
We're First Focus, Australia's #1 MSP (Cloud Tango, 9 years running), with almost 400 people across Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. The finance team supports a growing, multi-entity group — and we need someone who can own the ANZ numbers end to end.

About This Role
This is a hands-on accounting role with real ownership — not a support role, not a preparer-of-someone-else's-work role.
You'll own the month-end close for our ANZ entities: journals, accruals, balance sheet recs, intercompany, and everything in between. You'll work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager, the FP&A team, and Finance Operations to make sure the numbers going up to group are accurate, complete, and on time.
Every time.
The role sits across multiple ANZ entities, so experience in a group or multi-entity environment isn't a nice-to-have — it's the baseline.
Requirements:
What You'll Be Doing
• Owning the month-end close for ANZ entities, including journals, accruals, and adjustments
• Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations — no aged items, no mysteries
• Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
• Supporting consolidation and group reporting processes
• Providing variance analysis and feeding reliable data to the FP&A team
• Supporting audit and statutory reporting requirements
• Finding things that are slow or manual and making them less so
What You'll Bring
The must-haves:
• At least 5 years of accounting experience with solid hands-on month-end close ownership for ANZ company
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills. You know what a clean rec looks like and you won't sign off on anything less
• Experience with accruals, adjustments, and financial close processes
• Multi-entity or group environment experience
• High attention to detail and a genuine ownership mindset
• Ability to work independently and hit deadlines without being chased
Bonus points for:
• Big 4 or audit background
• Exposure to consolidation processes
• Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems
What Good Looks Like
Six months in, you'll know you're nailing it when:
• Month-end close lands on time with minimal rework or queries
• The balance sheet is clean, fully reconciled, and has no aged items sitting in it
• Intercompany differences get resolved before they become problems
• Audit prep is straightforward because the work is already done properly
• Anyone who asks about a financial movement gets a clear, logical answer
Benefits:
• Competitive salary: ₱90,000 – ₱110,000 per month
• Hybrid working arrangements
• HMO from day 1 + 1 dependent with dental coverage
• Free Uprise access, 1:1 coaching with qualified psychologists or counsellors
• "Never Stop Growing": 10 paid study days per year, exam covered, pay rises for certifications (conditions apply)
• Day shift, weekends off*, 25 paid leave days annually
• Employee referral program (₱20,000)
• MVP award (₱10,000)
• Social events, EOFY and Christmas parties
• Loyalty bonuses*
Office locations:
• 29th Floor, Robinsons Cyberscape Gamma, Topaz Road, Ortigas, Pasig City
• 26th Floor, Axis Tower One, Filinvest Ave, Alabang, Muntinlupa
Good accounting is invisible. Nobody notices when the close goes smoothly, when the recs are clean, or when the auditors run out of questions. The business just works.
If you're the kind of accountant who takes quiet satisfaction in that — who finds the ₱12 discrepancy not because you have to, but because you actually can't leave it — this is your role.
