Senior Accountant – Multi-Client / Month-End Close

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations for multiple client accounts. This role is hands-on and operational, with high ownership over month-end close, accrual-based accounting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate is confident working across several entities, highly organized, comfortable in a client-facing environment, and experienced with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite. This role suits a senior-level accountant who enjoys structure, accountability, and translating financial data into clear insights for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the month-end close process for multiple clients, ensuring:
1. All balance sheet accounts are reconciled
2. Journal entries are prepared and reviewed
3. Outstanding transactions are reviewed and resolved
4. Financial statements are accurate and compliant
• Ensure all accounting follows accrual-based accounting principles
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and strong internal controls
• Manage more complex accounting areas such as:
1. Multi-entity accounting and consolidations
2. Departments, classes, and job costing
3. Revenue allocation, inventory, COGS, and sales tax support
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting efforts
• Identify trends, margin issues, and financial red flags
• Work extensively with QuickBooks (required) and NetSuite (preferred)
• Support system implementations and migrations (QBO, NetSuite, Bill.com, Avalara, etc.)
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes
• Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned clients
• Translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders
• Lead and support junior bookkeepers:
1. Review reconciliations and transaction coding
2. Provide feedback, guidance, and training
• Ensure SOPs are documented and followed across all client accounts
• Respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner (within 24 hours)
Required Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of senior-level accounting experience
• Proven experience with:
• Month-end close
• Journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting
• Hands-on expertise with QuickBooks (NetSuite is a strong plus)
• Experience managing multiple clients and/or entities simultaneously
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Advanced English proficiency (C1)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a structured, client-facing environment
