Senior Accountant

Prime System Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will handle general accounting tasks for a designated portfolio, manage the month-end close process, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. This role demands attention to detail and experience with accounting software, specifically NetSuite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, complete reconciliations, and perform variance analysis to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Review financial documents for accuracy and reconcile accounts.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve processes and financial performance.
• Ensure financial records adhere to regulatory standards.
• Maintain financial systems by coding transactions and suggesting improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist external accounting firms with tax filing preparation.
• Support the annual financial statement audit process.
• Perform other duties as needed to support business operations.

Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial principles, and accounting methods (cash and accrual).
• Proficiency in NetSuite and other accounting software.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize and self-manage effectively.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with accounting software applications, especially NetSuite, is required.
