Position Title: Senior Accountant

Job Type: Onsite (Lahore/Islamabad)

Timing: 5PM- 2AM PKT

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial operations, maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to work independently and contribute to overall business performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and maintain federal and state tax returns, including corporate, payroll, and sales tax
• Ensure compliance with changing tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines
• Manage state registrations, licenses, and regulatory filings
• Handle insurance compliance, renewals, and documentation with relevant agencies
• Oversee accounts receivable collections, including aging analysis and client follow-ups
• Prepare financial reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, and variances
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records in line with GAAP
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and IT cost planning initiatives
• Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure compliance with internal policies

Requirements:
Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in tax compliance or financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations (corporate, payroll, and sales tax)
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

Good to Have

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or EA
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance and interstate operations
• Exposure to IT budgeting and cost management
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Experience working with SMBs or professional services firms
• Knowledge of process automation and continuous improvement practices
• Experience managing stakeholder and client relationships
