Senior Accountant (CPA) - Financial Reporting & General Ledger

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CPA Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and general accounting operations in Fremont, Nebraska. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with leadership teams to support informed business decisions.

The role involves managing core accounting activities such as general ledger oversight, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards. The Accountant will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial data integrity and support the overall financial health of operations in Fremont.

This position requires regular onsite presence in the Fremont, Nebraska office, with a hybrid work structure available for part of the schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger adjustments
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP requirements
• Support regulatory reporting, audit preparation, and tax documentation processes
• Analyze financial results and provide insight into operational performance trends
• Ensure accounting records remain compliant with established internal controls and documentation procedures
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to address financial questions and reporting needs
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reporting efficiency
• Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy across all accounting systems

Requirements:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP standards and financial reporting regulations
• Experience working in onsite or hybrid office-based accounting roles
• Proficiency in accounting software platforms and advanced Microsoft Excel functions
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced accounting environment
