As Senior Account Manager – MICE (Meetings Incentives Conferences Events) Sales UK, you will be responsible for proactively driving MICE and group business to our highly exclusive portfolio of LHW hotels globally. You will be responsible for cultivating and strengthening existing relationships with all types of clients within the MICE market in UK and also developing new and prospective contacts and business opportunities. This position requires exceptional organizational and negotiation skills to effectively manage these highly valuable client relationship and foster new clients for our hotels worldwide.
As part of a dynamic and global team, you will also act as a mentor and support to junior team members across the region and be an integral part of the development and success of this segment.
This is a full-time position, located in London, UK covering maternity leave for up to 1 year. We offer flexible workplace policies that allow for working remotely 3 days a week and require being in our London office 2 days a week (Mondays and Thursdays).
Key Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
SALES & REVENUE GENERATION
Provide personalized strategic account management to LHW best customers (Strategic, managed and business development accounts) within the MICE & GROUPS segment
Research and develop new clients and leads, promoting The Leading Hotels of the World brand as well as our Member Hotels
Work towards set revenue targets and goals within the assigned segments
Drive lead conversion and enquiry volume from the UK market
HOTELIER INTERACTION
Conduct educational webinar and training sessions for member hotels to support their development in the MICE sector
Provide consultative and strategic advice to our hotels on revenue growth opportunities in the segment
Liaise with internal team and hotel colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful handling of any enquiry
Plan and execute a calendar of events within the MICE/Groups segment and run these events from start to finish
Uncover new business opportunities and exposure possibilities for our hotels (ie attendance in external events)
Other responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
Manage the Entertainment Account Executive
Provide and produce regular reporting on sales performance, forecasted group business, and pipeline development.
Support the Sales Team with conducting client research and acquisition when appropriate
Effective and constant CRM (Salescloud) usage to ensure sales effectiveness and delivery according to company standards.
Representing the brand and member hotels as well as the LHW business principles and values at various events, including trade fairs, LHW road shows and showcases
Event support - assistance in overall planning and organization process of Showcases, Roadshows, Leading by Invitation Events.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to effectively position the hotel and secure group business.
Required Skills:
2-5 years of experience in a similar role (either in a GSO capacity or on property)
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with fluent English
Excellent listening, negotiation, and facilitation skills
Quantitative and prioritization skills, plus outstanding organization skills with attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple accounts and requests effectively
Ability to work independently and managing own initiatives
Cultural sensitivity, internationally minded
Work under a high workload and tight deadline
Proficient in MS-Office, particular Word, and Excel, as well as Salesforce.com experience (advantage but not essential)
Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Interest to learn and explore new business opportunities
