Position: Senior Account Executive
Working hours and Conditions: Fully Remote - Mondays to Fridays, NZ working hours
• Ideally Auckland-based
• Open to exceptions for the right candidate (NZ-based)

OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a true hunter to own the New Zealand market. You’ll drive new business through a mix of outbound prospecting and inbound leads, run a tight end-to-end sales process, and then hand over to our recruitment team to deliver. No recruiting or sourcing required-just the fun part.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 50% Cold outreach: identify, target, and win new NZ business customers
• 50% Inbound leads: qualify, consult, and convert warm opportunities
• Run the full sales cycle end-to-end (discovery → solution → proposal → close)
• Build a strong NZ pipeline and maintain accurate activity in the CRM
• Partner with our recruitment team for seamless handover and great client outcomes
• Represent Pear Tree’s ethical, transparent model in every client conversation
• Report into the two owners
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Consistent pipeline generation and high-quality discovery conversations
• Closing new NZ business customers on a repeatable cadence
• Strong client relationships and clear handovers that set delivery up for success
• Becoming the go-to person for Pear Tree in the NZ market
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVE:
• 3+ years of sales experience
• Proven ability to hunt: cold outreach, resilience, and comfort with rejection
• Strong consultative selling skills (discovery, value-led selling, objection handling)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Self-starter who can work autonomously and own a market
NICE TO HAVE:
• Existing connections with NZ businesses likely to leverage remote/global hiring
• Experience selling services, solutions, or subscription-style offerings
• Knowledge of hiring, recruitment, HR, or talent—not required
