Senior Account Executive (Home Decor)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Account Executive to manage end-to-end financial accounting operations with a strong focus on GST compliance, Income Tax, and Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in the home décor, interior design, retail, or manufacturing sectors, where inventory accounting, vendor coordination, and compliance play a critical role in financial operations.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance, including preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
• Perform regular reconciliation of GSTR-2A / GSTR-2B with purchase registers to optimize Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Handle TDS/TCS payments and returns in compliance with Income Tax regulations.
• Prepare data and documentation for tax audits and support annual income tax return filings.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as Professional Tax, PF, and ESIC, where applicable.

2. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable (AR/AP)

• Monitor and manage receivables from B2B clients including architects, interior design firms, and retail partners.
• Drive collections and follow-ups to maintain healthy cash flow and reduce outstanding aging.
• Verify vendor invoices against Purchase Orders (POs) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, vendors, and craftsmen.

3. General Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and assist in finalization of accounts.
• Maintain accurate bank reconciliations (BRS) and oversee day-to-day banking transactions.
• Manage inventory accounting, including coordination with warehouse teams, stock valuation, and periodic physical stock audits.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, including Profit & Loss statements, AR/AP aging reports, and cash flow summaries.

Candidate Profile

Education

• M.Com, MBA (Finance), Inter-CA, or Inter-CWA.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Tally Prime / Tally ERP or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Zoho Books.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and basic financial modeling.

Industry Knowledge

• Strong understanding of GST rates and HSN codes relevant to home décor categories such as textiles, furniture, ceramics, and furnishings.

Experience & Competencies

• Prior experience managing end-to-end accounting for organizations with an annual turnover of ₹25 Cr or more is highly preferred.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict compliance and reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective coordination with vendors and clients.
