At NXP’s Innovation Center for Crypto & Security in Leuven, we are committed to developing world‑class secure technologies that power the next generation of embedded, automotive, mobile, and IoT solutions. As a Security Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a key role in safeguarding our high‑security embedded devices—ranging from secure microcontrollers to advanced secure elements—by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential attack vectors throughout the product development lifecycle.
In this role, you will work at the forefront of hardware and software security, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across NXP’s global security organization. You will contribute to vulnerability analysis campaigns, support common certification processes, and explore emerging research to uncover new attack paths, ensuring our products meet the highest security standards
Your Responsibilities:
• Planning and execution of vulnerability analysis of embedded security devices during product development.
• Root-cause analysis of vulnerabilities and support of hardware and software development teams in advancing security solutions.
• Continuous assessment of academic research and investigations into novel attack paths in the embedded security landscape.
• Support of the various development teams of NXP with state-of-the-art security know-how.
Your Profile:
• Master (or Bachelor + at least 3 years of experience) in a field relevant to Embedded Security
• Ideally with a background in semiconductor process technology, embedded security technologies, countermeasures in HW and SW, signal processing, advanced measurement techniques, cryptography
• Experience in fault injection attacks and/or security code analysis and/or hardware and software reverse engineering
• Knowledge of Risc-V/ ARM based security products; C, Rust, Python and ideally assembler language
• Ability to work independently and a creative approach to technical problem solving.
• Good communication skills including the ability to present ideas for various audiences inside and outside of NXP.
