We are looking for a driven and self-motivated Security Operations Centre Team Lead for our Calgary branch located in SE Calgary! You will lead a team that monitors, investigates, and responds to security alerts in real time, acting as frontline defenders for our client's environment.
A Day in the Life::
• Lead a 7x24 team of Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC Analysts supporting Long View clients and tools
• Serve as escalation point for SOC Team members
• Mentor and train SOC staff on:
• o Best practice responding to security issues
• o Use and enhancement of LogRhythm and Sentinel SIEMs and other security tools
• Ensure timely response to detect, triage and escalate alerts
• Direct continuous improvement within the SOC
• Manage expectations around performance and procedural work for team members
• Conduct weekly team meetings and regular 1:1s with SOC team members
• Be available for team escalations that require leadership decisions, guidance and action
• Ensure SOC operations align to written procedure and policy to assure quality of service delivery
• Ensure responsiveness of the SOC team by driving accountability
• Understand and report on KPIs for both overall service delivery and individual performance
• Liaise with vendor representatives at an operational level
• Resolve operational deficiencies/seek new efficiencies where possible
• Serve as first-tier escalation point for Site Managers/Focals around service delivery issues
• Execute post-mortems on service delivery escalations, identify required changes or solutions and implement
• Provide support to pre-sales/sales/practice groups as required (tours, sales presentations etc.)
• Communicate effectively to customers in a manner that is easy to understand and non-technical
What You Bring::
• Proven ability to lead a team that works 7x24
• 5+ years of experience managing complex, multi-tenant infrastructure tools and systems comprised of on-premise and cloud connected technologies
• 5+ years of experience working in a multi-tenant service provider environment
• Experience with XDR
• Formal security certifications like Security+, CySA+ or equivalent
• Experience working with and managing incident, problem, change and service requests that follow ITIL framework standards
• Strong strategic planning and analytics skills
• Strong adherence to service delivery excellence
• Experience with other common security technologies (IDS, Firewall, WAF, DLP, etc.) would be considered an asset
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management would be considered an asset
What Makes You Extra Awesome::
• Intermediate level network and security certifications like the SC200, Security+, Network+, SSCP and/or CCNA Security
• Experience with other common security technologies (IDS, Firewall, WAF, DLP, etc.) would be considered an asset
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management would be considered an asset
