Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. 

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Manage security reception/ access control

Conduct internal and external patrol

Prevention of theft, disorders and disturbance

Ensuring no loitering and soliciting takes place in building

Providing visitors/contractor escort

CCTV Monitoring

Emergency First Aid response

Fire Safety Prevention

Building Systems monitoring

Alarm Response

Other Duties as assigned by the Client or Regional Manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

*MUST* Valid Ontario Security Guard License

*MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate

The Vulnerable Sector Check must be completed and submitted prior to the start date.

Must be able to lift up-to 25 lbs

The ability to stand/walk  for long periods of time and complete frequent patrols

The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

Job Type: Part-Time 

Hourly Rate of Pay: $22.39

Hours of work: 0000-1200( Saturday and Sunday)

Location: 70 St Mary Street, Toronto
